Insulting? I don’t make the news, I just report it. But no, I’ve never worked with a Redfin buyer or seller. Why would I do that? I work for another broker.

marlow, have you never worked with a redfin buyer or seller? to say that they suffer from some sort of syndrome is insulting to say the least. most that i have woked with may be tech-savvy, but they use redfin because of a great website and a fair approach to commissions.

It boils down to the feminization of our entire culture. That which is male is considered bad or somehow inferior and manly traits and pursuits are condemned. We wouldn’t be in the pickle we’re in if we hadn’t given women the vote.

That is so profound, and you’re absolutely right, it’s a male/female-yin/yang-left brain/right brain sort of approach to the whole process. I’ve noticed that on some of the bubble blogs, there is a thread going through many of them that the men would never own a home except to keep the little lady happy because, on paper, it often doesn’t make financial sense. It IS an emotional buy for many people. And those emotions are exactly what the nerds are either unable or unwilling to acknowledge. They see it as a weakness so they’re often hostile to those people who purchase based on how a house makes them “feel”.
