I would like to learn more of the previous owners and what they did for a living or if it was illegal moniey.

And I would Definitely like just one of the $500 Dollar Bills for my collection.

Who the hell does this contractor think he is?
He was hired to remodel a bathroom in a house that he does not own. So you tell me, if he also finds behind the wall leaky, corroded pipes is he going to pay for those pipes to be replaced??... I don’t think so.

Get freaken real... It is not your property!!
You should have been happy with the 10%. Now I hope you get nothing!

If the money was found in a park I can understand Finders Keepers. Not in someones house. It should go the homeowner with maybe a reward going to the contractor, less of course attorney fees.

Let me get this straight.... finders, keepers.

So, say I am an interior designer. I go to the that contractor's house and, lo, find a diamond necklace that has slipped into the hem of one of his curtains. Well, well. Finders, keepers! By his standards, its mine.

Where has honor and integrity gone? For crying out loud....

What a great article! Contractor seems a little greedy if you ask me. We have a builder client who bought a fixer in Shoreline and found about $500 in $20's in a can behind a wall during the remodel...sort of a fun bonus for him too. You never know what's behind those walls.
