Marlow, I enjoyed your interview. Your home and living room sounds as if it truely reflects your sensibilities and personal history!
Thanks, Deborah. It’s a little nerve-wracking talking to the press. I’m worried that they’ll make me look stupid and I don’t need any help with that
Great story! Definitely wise to be nervous around reporters, but that came off very well.
I’ve been made to look/feel stupid just talking to the press on the phone, I can’t imagine face-to-face. You did great and certainly did NOT appear stupid. You did us all proud!
I bought that domain name in 1997 and started the site in ’99 and added things that interested me along the way. In my mind, I was creating a magazine of things that interested me. Someone just pointed out the other day that it was a “blog” before blogs really existed. There was no other kind of platform at the time to add seemingly random bits of information or photos, so I just created categories on my site that I thought were interesting. I realize now that this was last-millenium style blogging….
Thanks for sharing. Your home sounds incredible.
Just awesome. I really have enjoyed reading your blog and the article. There is something about you that makes folks feel at home and at ease. Isn’t it time to start that book? Thanks for sharing yourself!
