I just finished Rohinton Mistry’s “A Fine Balance” , set in India during Indira Ghandi’s administration in the ’70’s. Like a Hindu “Gone With the Wind”, I couldn’t put it down. Mistry on Wiki. I love Indian culture. Well, from a distance, anyway. “A Fine Balance” Review”.

Lori Earley’s show opened last night at Roq la Rue Gallery and it was fabulous. The highlight of the show was her painting “The Wish”, an ethereal painting (self-portrait?), all in pink. Very pink. Lovely. Lori is from New York, and this is her first solo show.
